The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has resumed its statewide “thank you” tour, with candidates visiting Asa and Ilorin West Local Government Areas in the Central Senatorial District on Saturday.
Led by governorship candidate and Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, the tour began in Afon, Asa LGA, before moving to Ilorin West.
Traditional rulers, religious leaders, officials, and party supporters received the delegation and pledged continued support ahead of the 2027 elections.
In Ilorin West, Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin, Dr. Usman Abubakar Atolagbe Jos, representing the Emir of Ilorin, described the visit as a mark of respect for the traditional institution and prayed for the candidates’ success.
In Asa, district heads led by Alhaji Kolapo Abdulkadir also welcomed the team and offered prayers for APC’s victory.
Danladi thanked stakeholders for their support and assured them of the party’s commitment, praising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and expressing confidence in his re-election.
“We are here to thank the people of Ilorin West… and to reassure you that we are going to win,” he said.
He also commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s achievements and urged continued support for the APC.
Other speakers, including Hon. Mukhtar Tolani Shagaya, Alhaji Abdullateef Gidado Alakawa, and Prof. Shehu Raheem Adaramaja, praised the administration’s performance and expressed confidence in APC’s 2027 prospects.
Party leaders also called for unity and reconciliation among members, while reaffirming loyalty to the party’s leadership.
The delegation included members of the Kwara State House of Assembly and other APC leaders, hosted by senior government officials and party stakeholders in Ilorin West.
