The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) has officially opened its application portal for qualified teachers interested in joining the state’s public education system.

The recruitment exercise, according to the board, was approved by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the delivery of quality education in Lagos State.

In a statement signed on Monday by the LASUBEB Executive Chairman, the board described the exercise as a unique opportunity for aspiring educators to build a career in teaching.

“This is a unique opportunity for NCE holders, B.A (Ed), B.Sc (Ed), B.Ed, HND+PGDE, BA+PGDE, and B.Sc+PGDE graduates to build a career in teaching and contribute meaningfully to qualitative service delivery in the State,” the statement read.

The board explained that all applications must be submitted strictly online through the official portal: https://subebjobs.lagosstate.gov.ng
It warned that physical submissions would not be entertained under any circumstances.

“LASUBEB has not engaged or authorised any individual or group to collect money for this exercise. The application is absolutely free,” the statement added.

Applicants are expected to upload the following documents during the application process:

  • O’ Level Certificate (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB)
  • Degree or NCE Certificate
  • NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate (as applicable)
  • The board stressed that notifications or statements of results issued beyond two years will not be accepted.
  • LASUBEB also announced that the recruitment portal will close on 14th October, 2025.

It urged qualified candidates to take advantage of the opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of education in Lagos State.
