Lamborghini saga: Angela Okorie defends Sophia, calls Burna Boy coward

ACTRESS Angela Okorie has criticized Afrobeats singer Burna Boy over his involvement in the controversial “sex-for-Lambo” saga with socialite Sophia Egbueje.

Angela expressed her disappointment in the Grammy award winner, accusing him of deceiving Sophia, stating that only a cowardly man with low self-esteem would act in such a manner. This controversy began last week after leaked audio surfaced online, in which Sophia shared with a friend how Burna Boy slept with her but failed to fulfill his promise of buying her a Lamborghini.

In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, Angela clarified that while she does not support prostitution, it is important to acknowledge that Burna took advantage of Sophia, as she had made her price clear before they engaged in a sexual relationship.

She urged the public to learn how to treat others with kindness and empathy, emphasizing the need for more good people to help heal the world. Angela wrote, “For the record, I am not encouraging prostitution. How do you all live without empathy? As a public figure, God placed you in that position to be a voice. You have many followers, and you should positively impact their lives. Be a character to emulate. Be bold. Be the voice people want to listen to.

Please, everyone, let’s learn how to treat our women with respect. How a man treats a woman reflects the kind of family he comes from. Only a coward and a man with low self-esteem would deceive a girl into sleeping with him and then come on social media to laugh about it. Why? No real man would do that. Real men do what they promise. There are still many people who manipulate women for personal gain, but this is especially disappointing from a mega superstar.

A lot of male celebrities are complicit in this behavior, and this message is not targeted at just one person; it’s for everyone. We must treat people well, especially in these challenging times. The world is tough right now, and we need more good people to help us heal. Life is expensive, and many are just trying to survive. I always say they should enjoy life without hurting anyone. Remember that God sees everything. Doing the right thing doesn’t cost you anything. Be more human. The universe is watching whatever you do; what you give will come back to you. Lots of love from your one and only.”
