The remains of late singer, Ifunanya Nwangene, also known as Nanyah, will be laid to rest on February 14, 2026 in Enugu State.
Nanyah reportedly died after suffering a snake bite at her residence in Abuja on January 31, 2026.
She was immediately taken to a hospital for medical attention but later succumbed to the incident.
Her brother, Kingsley Nwangene, shared details of her funeral arrangements on Instagram via his handle, @official_kaybaba1.
He posted her obituary alongside a short tribute, writing, “Till I see you again.”
According to the family, a service of songs is scheduled for February 10, 2026, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Abule Oshun, Dansa, Lagos, and will begin at 4 p.m. A requiem mass will follow at the same venue by 6 p.m.
The family further disclosed that “Ifunanya will be laid to rest in her hometown in Enugu State on February 14, 2026, while a thanksgiving service to celebrate her life and legacy has been scheduled for February 15, 2026.”
Meanwhile, the Abuja Metropolitan Music Society Choir organised a tribute concert in her honour at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
The event, titled “Tribute and Songs,” was held in loving memory of the late Abuja-based singer.
The choir described her death as a significant loss to the Abuja music community.
