    Overview

    • The Gardener is responsible for maintaining the landscaping and grounds of RHV to ensure a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
    • This role involves the care and maintenance of lawns, plants, trees, and other outdoor spaces within the hospital premises.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, watering, weeding, pruning, and fertilizing lawns, flower beds, shrubs, and trees.
    • Plant and cultivate flowers and other plants as directed by hospital management or landscape design plans.
    • Monitor plant health and identify and address pest infestations, diseases, or other issues affecting plant growth.
    • Operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools, including lawn mowers, trimmers, hedge clippers, and watering systems.
    • Assist in the design and implementation of landscaping projects, including the installation of new plants, hardscaping elements, and irrigation systems.
    • Ensure that outdoor areas are free of debris, litter, and hazards that could pose a safety risk to patients, visitors, or staff.
    • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate landscaping activities with hospital events, construction projects, and maintenance schedules.
    • Maintain records of gardening activities, including plant inventory, maintenance schedules, and equipment maintenance logs.
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing gardening tasks, including the proper handling and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials.
    • Provide assistance during emergencies or inclement weather conditions to secure outdoor areas and protect plants and landscaping features.

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, or groundskeeping preferred.
    • Knowledge of plant care techniques, landscaping principles, and horticultural best practices.
    • Ability to operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools safely and effectively.
    • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and operating heavy machinery.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and aesthetics.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Flexibility to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
    • Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

    Position Overview

    • We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as the Head of Medical Information Records.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of all medical records and information within the hospital.
    • This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of medical recordkeeping standards and regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the management of medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
    • Supervise a team of medical records officers, ensuring accurate and timely entry, retrieval, and storage of patient information.
    • Oversee the electronic health record (EHR) system, including system maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting.
    • Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatments.
    • Train staff on medical recordkeeping protocols, confidentiality guidelines, and data security measures.
    • Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
    • Coordinate with billing and coding teams to ensure proper coding of diagnoses and procedures for accurate billing and reimbursement.
    • Serve as a resource to healthcare providers and staff regarding medical record documentation requirements and best practices.
    • Stay informed about changes in medical recordkeeping regulations and industry standards, and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures.
    • Manage the department budget, including equipment purchases, staffing levels and trainings.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
    • Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) is required.
    • Minimum of 5years of experience in medical records management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
    • Thorough understanding of medical terminology, coding systems (e.g., ICD-10, CPT), and healthcare documentation standards.
    • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other health information technologies.
    • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of professionals.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with healthcare providers, administrators, and staff.
    • Knowledge of Nigerian healthcare regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.
