    Background and Purpose

    • CNFA is preparing for an anticipated agriculture investment-promoting opportunity that will address the constraints of the overall agricultural business environment of Nigeria and improve the levels of agriculture-related investments.
    • The Consultant will serve as a Technical Lead to design the strategy for the subject proposal and will work closely with the technical writer, other technical consultants, and the rest of the proposal team to provide inputs, comments, and feedback during the proposal draft development and submission.
    • The consultancy is immediate and may require travel to Nigeria for a short reconnaissance trip.

    The illustrative tasks are provided below:

    • Complete the Research Guide.
    • Lead development of the technical approach and the partnership strategy and guide the proposal draft writing, collaboration, indicators, and results.
    • Draft sections of the technical approach as assigned.
    • Provide comments, reviews, and inputs for the color drafts.
    • Lead development of a list of potential partners and stakeholders with whom the project should collaborate; and lead and participate in calls with them and secure letters of commitment.
    • Provide input on the design of the organizational chart, management plan, staff position descriptions, project office locations, and collaboration narratives.
    • Provide other deliverables as requested, based on mutual agreement with a supervisor.

    Job Requirements
    Key Qualifications:

    • A Master’s Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Investment, Finance, Management, International Development, or a related field of study or equivalent work experience is required.
    • At least eight (8) years of experience serving as a senior technical professional on a US-donor-funded value chain initiative is required.
    • Successful experience in new business development in a capacity of a technical lead expert, and/or a lead technical writer is required.
    • Demonstrated experience working in finance and/or investment or related sector is required.
    • Experience providing technical oversight and leadership to facilitate expanded trade and competitiveness of agricultural value chains preferred.
    • Experience establishing and facilitating public-private partnerships is strongly preferred.
    • Experience overseeing value chain development or market systems development approach to improve a market access and development is strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain positive, collaborative, and productive relationships with government and other partners is required.
    • Experience working in West Africa, particularly in Nigeria strongly preferred.
    • Strong written and spoken fluency in English is required.
    • Understanding of local language(s) preferred.

    Job Objectives

    • To provide technical support to middleware applications such as IBM ESB, IBM ACE etc. related to the design and functionality of ESB and monitor middleware systems as well as ensure high availability and 100% uptime.

    Responsibilities

    • Check and treat all logs/email escalations within the SLA i.e. issue resolution, enquiries, complaints and re-routing to responsible units where applicable.

    Team Member, Investigation & Fraud Management

    Job Objective(s)

    • To carry out E-Channel fraud investigation across the Group and come up with recommendation to ensure that fraud E-Channel frauds are reduced to the barest minimum.
    • Investigation of Fraud and Forgeries to identify incident root causes, internal control gaps and failure points; and to proffer solutions / recommendations to prevent reoccurrence and exposure to corporate liability, sanctions and litigations.

    Responsibilities

    • Carry out computer forensic seizure, analyses and technical support on requests coming from other divisional investigators, African country operations and affiliates.

    • Conduct prompt investigation of breach of policy, procedures, regulatory policies and code of conduct for appropriate disciplinary action.
    • Identify process inefficiencies, control weakness, and proffer relevant mitigating recommendations for management review, consideration and subsequent implementation.
    • Respond promptly to and cultivate effective liaison with other banks in relation to issues of frauds, customers’ complaints and other investigation matters for the purpose of containment of fraud losses and salvaging fraudulent funds.
    • Issue Sensitization memos on the Learning Points arising from the various investigation cases.
    • Root-cause analysis to identify critical control gaps/process inefficiencies and provide effective recommendations and solutions to the identified risks.
    • Attend UATs, and proof of concept sessions to ensure information security risks are considered/mitigated in applications and systems before acquisition and deployment.
    • Payment card acquiring reviews & risk management, continuous monitoring of fraud triggers using various tools for acquired merchants’ suspicious or collusive activities for immediate remediation and countermeasures.
    • Liaise and follow up with e-channels host/switch companies, payment card schemes and mobile payment providers (Interswitch, UPSL, NIBSS, eTranzact, MasterCard, Visa, etc.)  for management and resolution of electronic payment card, mobile banking risks.
    • Review tracking and blocking of fraud proceeds transfers, placing of restrictions, obtaining / issuance of court orders and indemnity documents for recovery / repatriation of salvaged funds.
    • Render periodic reports of frauds and forgeries to regulatory authorities and management.

    Qualifications

    • First Degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Banking & Finance, and any related numerate fields
    • Masters’ Degree or a professional qualification will be an advantage
    • 3 – 5 years related experience.

    • Demonstrated experience working with cross-function stakeholders including direct and channel marketing, product management, operations, account management teams, legal, finance etc.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 10 years of technology-related sales experience working with customer accounts and partners.
    • Understanding of partners and channel ecosystems
    • Prior experience working with or for channel partners
    • Demonstrated experience exceeding quota and key performance metrics.
    • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
    • Fluent English
