Latest One UI Watch 4.5 Beta Fixes Several Bugs, Stable Update Imminent



Samsung‘s Galaxy Watch 4 series is receiving yet another One UI Watch 4.5 beta update. This is the fourth beta build of the new software package for the devices. It brings fixes to several bugs discovered in previous beta builds. There are also some stability improvements in tow.

Rolling out with build number ZVG3, the new update fixes the issue with the permission pop-up that caused it to force close whenever users tried to add their current location in Weather Tile. The connection mismatch problem between the Galaxy Wearable app and Bluetooth setting has been fixed too. Samsung has further patched the time-shaking problem in Stopwatch. The ANR (Application Not Responding) error with Samsung Health during activities is also gone. The System UI crash problem no longer exists either.

Coming to the improvements, the changelog mentions a more stable functioning of watch faces and the sleep mode feature. The Messages app should also be getting some stability improvements. Improved battery life is also part of the latest release.

Samsung rolls out new One UI Watch 4.5 beta update to the Galaxy Watch 4

Samsung started the One UI Watch 4.5 beta program for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic early last month. Users who registered their smartwatch in the program are now receiving the fourth beta update. As usual, you will need the latest version ( of the Galaxy Watch 4 plugin installed on your connected smartphone to receive the update. If you don’t get the OTA (over the air) update, you can manually check for it by going to the Galaxy Watch 4 plugin in the Galaxy Wearable app and then navigating to Settings > Watch software update > Download and install.

As far as the stable One UI Watch 4.5 update is concerned, it isn’t too far now. Samsung recently announced that the new software package for the Galaxy Watch 4 series will arrive in Q3 2022. Since we are already in the third quarter of the year, the rollout may begin very soon. This could very well be the last beta release.

Based on Wear OS 3.5, this update for Samsung’s smartwatches will bring a full QWERTY keyboard, dual-SIM compatibility, more customizable watch faces, new accessibility features, customizable left/right audio balance, and many more new features and improvements. The company is touting it to enable a “more complete watch experience”. We will let you know when One UI Watch 4.5 starts rolling out to the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.
