Nigerian skitmaker cum Nollywood actor, Debo Adedayo, better known as Mr Macaroni, has taken to social media to remember the shooting incident that happened at the Lekki-Ikoyi tollgate during the #EdnSARS protest.
Naijaonpoint recalls that Nigerians had protested at the lekki tollgate and many other parts of the country demanding end to police brutality and bad governance.
On October 20, military personnel stormed the tollgate and fired gunshots at the unarmed protesters in a bid to disperse them but it resulted in the death of many citizens.
While the protesters insist there were casualties, the government claimed otherwise.
In a post shared on his Instagram page on Monday, Mr Macaroni said that Nigerian youths have lost their lives, jobs, families and dreams at the hands of the corrupt leaders.
According to Macaroni, many of those who protested the end to bad governance have fallen in love with their oppressor.
The thespian noted that the day of the lekki shooting incident will never be forgotten.
He wrote, “Nigerian Youths lost their lives, jobs, families and dreams at the hands of the most corrupt and evil People we call Leaders!!!
“Even though my people are now in love with their Oppressors, this day 20/10/2020 is never to be forgotten nor forgiven!”
