Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, has shared her view on how people should treat the misfortunes of others.

Naijaonpoint reports that she said she would never laugh at someone else’s struggles, explaining that life can change quickly and unpredictably.

According to a post on her Instagram page, a person who finds joy in another’s hardship may one day need help and mercy from those very people they ignored or judged.

She called on everyone to practice kindness, noting that it is often overlooked but comes at no cost.

Tonto described life as having a way of shifting unexpectedly, reminding the public that compassion and understanding are essential in dealing with others.

She wrote, “I will never laugh at another person’s misfortune, because life has proven to be unpredictable in many ways. One minute, you are rejoicing over another person’s downfall; the next, you are praying for support and mercy that you never gave. Be kind! Be kind, life has a funny way of shifting!! Kindness is so underrated. It costs nothing to be kind.”

Her comments come a few weeks after she revealed how her encounter with the Holy Spirit transformed her life, freeing her from deep emotional pain, anger, depression, and immorality.

Naijaonpoint reports that she made the revelation on Tuesday evening through a lengthy post on Instagram titled “7 Things the Holy Spirit Healed Me From.”

In the message, the mother of one reflected on her past struggles and how her relationship with God completely changed her.
