Lil Baby addressed claims he dissed former collaborator Gunna on his new album WHAM.
On his song, “Runnin’ This Sh-t,” Lil Baby rapped, “I don’t care what he did, he a rat still / And I said what I said, dont at me.”
In an interview with Complex, Baby says the bars were not aimed at Gunna, who accepted a plea deal to be released from jail early and avoid prison time during the YSL RICO trial.
“That’s just how I rap. I hate that they try to make narratives out of sh-t I say. I say what I want to say. If I was speaking on certain people and sh-t, I would say that,” he added.
Before the trial, Baby and Gunna were close. Fans we quick to notice that Gunna was not featured on the new album, which boasted features from Future and Young Thug, who have both also called Gunna out for allegedly snitching.
