Lil Durk producer and engineer Jusvibes, real name Justin Gibson, has spoken out to challenge prosecutors’ claim that Durk tried to make coins from the alleged murder of Quando Rondo’s mother, Lul Pab.
Prosecutors allege that on Durk’s “Wonderful Wayne and Jackie Boy,” collab with Babyface Ray, he spoke about Pab’s murder when he rapped: “Look on the news and see your son/ You screamin’, ‘No, no.’”
In the viral footage of the aftermath of Pab’s murder, Quando Rondo is seen crying over his cousin’s dead body, screaming,” No!”
In court documents, jusvibes says Durkio wrote and recorded his verse during a studio session on January 25, 2022.
This means the track was made almost eight months before Pab’s death.
To back up his claim, jusvibes included screenshots of a saved a rough draft of the track on that same date.
Prosecutors alleged Durk paid five OTF members to carry out the murder. Durk denies the allegations.
