Lil Uzi Vert was rushed to a New York City hospital on Monday afternoon following a medical emergency at a Lower Manhattan hotel.
According to eyewitnesses, paramedics arrived on the scene around mid-afternoon after responding to an EMS call for a “sick person.” The 29-year-old rapper was seen being wheeled out of the hotel lobby on a gurney and placed into an awaiting ambulance.
In video footage obtained by TMZ, security staff can be seen shielding the star with large black umbrellas, trying to block onlookers from catching a glimpse of the distressing moment. Despite the scene, Uzi appeared conscious as he was taken away.

TMZ reports, Lil Uzi was conscious when they brought him out and headed to the hospital and hewas taken to the emergency room and kept overnight.

His girlfriend, JT, was by his side throughout the ordeal and stayed with him as he was transported to the emergency room. Uzi remained hospitalized overnight and was still under medical care as of Tuesday morning.
No official details have been released regarding the cause of his hospitalization.
