Ademola Lookman is set to leave Bergamo, but Inter Milan have to submit a bid worth Atalanta’s asking fee…

2025 UEFA Champions League finalists Inter Milan have submitted their final offer for Super Eagles and Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 27-year-old is set to leave Bergamo after four years with Atalanta. Lookman rejected advances from Juventus and Napoli and only wants to join Inter Milan.

However, Atalanta are holding out for a sale fee of around €50m, and rejected Inter’s €40m offer. They turned around to offer Lookman a new deal, but the Nigerian forward rejected the contract, making it clear he wants to move to the San Siro.

Inter table a new bid for Lookman

According to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri have tabled an improved €43m bid plus add-ons for the Nigerian forward, and hope the offer will convince Atalanta to accept the deal.

Lookman’s willingness to leave has made Inter unfazed by Atalanta’s €50 million asking price, and they’re now pushing forward to complete the deal on their terms, putting Christian Chivu’s side in a strong bargaining position.

It’s now up to La Dea to re-evaluate the situation. Although Inter’s offer is a few million short, talks are proceeding in good faith, and an agreement is anticipated.

Once they have secured Lookman’s services, the Nerazzurri may turn to Parma’s Giovanni Leoni, who is set to be their final recruit this summer.

Atalanta, on the other hand, feels safe despite the possibility of Lookman’s absence, trusting the left flank to Ghana’s Kamaldeen Sulemana.
