ADEMOLA Lookman will not play tomorrow night when Atalanta kick off their 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League campaign with a fixture against holders Paris Saint-Germain.

The Super Eagles forward is one of five Atalanta players who were not involved in training today, suggesting that they will all miss out on the trip to Paris.

Lookman is still not part of Atalanta head coach Ivan Juric’s plans after the Nigeria international’s failed attempt to leave the club over the summer.

The 27-year-old has not played for Atalanta at all since the end of the 2024/2025 season, after he fell out with the club hierarchy over his desire to join Inter Milan in the summer.

Lookman featured in the two Super Eagles’ World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa in early September despite his inactivity at Atalanta.

After the international break, however, Juric decided against including Lookman in Atalanta’s ’s 4-1 victory over Lecce in Serie A over the weekend.

“I shouldn’t have to beg him to play,” Juric said about Lookman after the match.

On Tuesday TMW reported that Juric would leave Lookman out again for the PSG clash on Wednesday night.

Meanwhile, Atalanta are also without key players in Ederson and Gianluca Scamacca, as well as defenders Sead Kolasinac and Mitchel Bakker, all through injury.

PSG will be without Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele, with former Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia a major doubt after being forced off during the 2-0 victory over Lens in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
