Ma$e says he could pop up at the trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs, which begins today (May 5th), if the fans vote for him to attend.
“I’d like to hear from the fans. I’ll let them make the decision or you can vote on it. They want me to be present at the Diddy trial. Should I go this week?” he asked on his It Is What It Is podcast with Cam’ron.
“It’s your choice; I can’t speak for your relationship,” Cam replied.
Ma$e and Diddy have a rocky past.
Ma$e was signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy Records in the 1990s, even delivering a platinum-selling debut album, Harlem World. Ma$e later accused Diddy of shady business practices, claiming he was never fairly compensated for his work and even offered $2 million to buy back his publishing. He says Diddy refused his offer.
Over the years, Ma$e has taken shots at Diddy both in interviews and on wax, calling him out for exploiting artists. He eventually did receive his publishing back, as did other artists on the label, ahead of Diddy’s legal fight with Diageo.
“I was trying to find a way to attend for at least one day,” Ma$e added. Cam’ron said that he would also attend his the former Bad Boy artist decides to go.
