Smokey Robinson is facing fresh heat as more people step forward claiming the Motown star behaved inappropriately while they worked inside the Robinsons’ Chatsworth home.
One of the new accusers, identified as John Doe, says he spent years doing early-morning car detailing at the property and that Smokey repeatedly came outside barely dressed and acted in ways Doe describes as unmistakably sexual.
Doe says he tried brushing it off by telling Smokey to get properly dressed, but insists the conduct continued.
According to the lawsuit, Doe believes things reached a new level in 2022 when he says Smokey suddenly grabbed his hand without permission and tried to force him into unwanted contact. He claims he was let go shortly afterward.
A year later, he says Smokey’s wife asked him to return to the job, only for the same uncomfortable behavior to start up again. Doe says he eventually walked away for good after hearing that other workers had allegedly dealt with similar conduct and felt unsafe around the situation.
A newly added Jane Doe describes her time as a housekeeper in the home and says that on more than 10 occasions, Smokey allegedly pulled her hand toward him in a way she found sexual and unwelcome.
These filings are piling on to the lawsuit already brought in May by four women who accuse the singer of various forms of misconduct. Smokey’s legal team is firmly rejecting every allegation.
His attorney, Christopher Frost, tells TMZ the group of plaintiffs is coordinating an organized effort to damage the couple’s reputation and pressure them for money. He says the Robinsons have already taken legal action of their own for defamation and conspiracy, insisting the claims are false and driven by greed. Frost also says the anonymous accusers have withheld evidence and avoided transparency, and that once the details are made public, the motives behind the accusations will become obvious.
