A middle-aged man identified as Ayoola Ayanwale, has been found dead in Ogun State, hours after he was accused of killing his wife, Ayobami.
The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday, January 8, at River Valley Estate, where neighbors said the couple had a serious argument before the woman was attacked.
The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the incident, adding that an official statement will be released.
Residents said they rushed the injured woman to a hospital, but she died shortly after arrival due to severe injuries.
Witnesses also alleged that the man later returned to the house to clean up the scene.
Dockaysworld gathered that family members claimed the attack happened in the presence of the couple’s three children.
Less than 12 hours later, Ayanwale was found unresponsive in an open field in the Sotubo area of the state and was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.
Police said items recovered at the scene included a bottle with a suspected substance, two mobile phones, a voter’s card and an ATM card.
