Man Kills Mother With Cutlass, Mutilates Son’s Genital – Independent Newspaper Nigeria

A man known as Amadi Alozie was captured by youths in Umudosi, a community in Obingwa LGA of Abia State, for allegedly using a cutlass to kill his mother.

He is also being detained for allegedly mutilating his son’s genital for suspected ritual purposes.

Reports indicate that the Umudosi resident attacked his young son, causing the boy to cry out. This noise attracted Mrs. Alozie, the suspect’s mother, who rushed in to investigate the commotion.

Upon realizing that his mother had discovered his heinous actions, the suspect reportedly grabbed a cutlass and inflicted severe wounds on his mother, leading to her tragic death.

The son, who was harmed by his father, has been swiftly taken to the hospital for medical attention.

Following the assault on his mother, Amadi Alozie attempted to flee but was apprehended by the community’s youths, who then handed him over to the authorities for further investigation and legal action.

This distressing incident has left the community bewildered as to what drove the young man to commit such horrific acts.

In response to the situation, the Public Relations Officer of Abia State Police Command, ASP Maureen Chinaka, stated: “We have such reports at Eastern Ngwa Divisional Headquarters. However, the victim has been rushed to the hospital, the suspect is in custody, investigation is ongoing.”
