Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham is celebrating another milestone from her new movie, Bhad and Boujee.

Taking to her Instagram page, Toyin revealed that Bhad and Boujee had grossed over 205 million in 10 days, making it the second highest-grossing Nollywood movie of the weekend. Toyin stated that beating her record has always been her goal and she is glad she has achieved it.

She noted how many people tried putting down her work, but God showed himself as God. She expressed gratitude to Nigerians, her fans, her support system, and her distributor.

“I have always said that beating my record is the goal, and with God’s help, I have been able to achieve it.
As of 10 days last year, I sold ₦105 million, but this year, we have sold ₦205 million as of yesterday. That is 95.24%. This is God. This is growth. This is also loved by fans and cinema attendants.

Many people have tried to put down this work, but God, in His infinite mercy, has continued to show Himself as God.

Thank you, Nigerians. Thank you, cinemas. Thank you, my fans. Thank you, Toyin Titans. Thank you to my distributor and my support system (you know yourselves). I do not take your love and support for granted.

Last week, Toyin revealed that last year, she made N52 million after seven days at the cinema; however, this year, she made 134 million after seven days. Expressing gratitude to her Maker, Toyin stated that she is that woman who returns to say thank you. Toyin made it known that she is her competition, as she expressed gratitude to her fans and everyone who has watched her movies.

A day back, the wife of Kolawole Ajeyemi had made an appeal to Nigerians against pirating her movie. The filmmaker revealed that someone was caught at the cinema recording her movie. However, she interfered, and The person was released after he had deleted the movie. Begging Nigerians to stop recording her movie, she stated that she wouldn’t interfere again should anyone be caught recording.

A few days back, Toyin made a lengthy appreciation note, thanking her fans for wholeheartedly supporting her new project Abraham, however, subtly shaded those who entice their fans with gifts at the cinema.

Her post stirred backlash and in another post, Toyin Abraham set the record straight by explaining the misinterpreted context in her appreciation post. She kindly noted that she was appreciating those who watched the movie without demanding a gift. She revealed further some of the feedback her colleagues who have supported her at the cinema told her.

In September, Toyin had slammed a fan of Funke Akindele, for putting down her hard work. The actress had shared a throwback photo of her photoshoot for the crew of Ijakumo, and someone had compared it to Funke’s project, questioning why she must always copy her in everything. Replying to him, Toyin expressed how tired she was of people putting down her hard work.
