The deceased, who died on Thursday at 85 years, is survived by Children, grand children and great grand children.

She was a descendant of the popular Ogbebor family of Usen, in Ovia North-East Local Government Area of the State.

According to his son, Lucky Igbinedion, the burial arrangement of the Octogenarian would be announced later.

Igbinedion was the governor of Edo State in Nigeria from 29 May, 1999 to 29 May 2007.

He is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, under whose banner he governed Edo for eight years.

The former governor has been facing allegation of N1.6 billion fraud by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Bandits Storm Katsina Military Base, Gun Down Soldier, NSCDC Operative

A source said immediately the bandits stormed the military camp, they began to shoot sporadically.

The source said the bandits, who invaded the camp at about 10pm on Tuesday, also burnt down two patrol vehicles and drove away another one which they used to convey food items stolen from the surrounding villages.

The source added that the victims died instantly while those who sustained injuries were being treated at an undisclosed hospital in the state.

“The terrorists attacked the military base located within Government Day Secondary School Shinfida last Tuesday. They killed one soldier and one NSCDC officer on the spot and left many others injured.

“They attacked the military base on their motorcycles. Despite the efforts of the military personnel, the terrorists killed the two victims and set ablaze two patrol vehicles and drove away one with food items stolen from neighbouring villages,” the source said.

The terrorists had in September, 2021, ambushed troops of the Special Army Super Camp 4. Three military officers were killed while many others sustained injuries in the attack.

While the NSCDC confirmed the incident via its Public Relations Officer, DSC Muhammad Abdara, the Nigerian Army could not be reached for comments.

35-Year-Old Man Caught Having Sex With 63-Year-Old Mad Woman In Lagos

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Bolade Street, Oshodi area of Lagos.

The suspect Ganiu, was said to have secretly removed the old woman’s clothes and forcefully engaged her in sex.
While he was still in the act, he was caught by the neighbours and forced to remove his dick from the woman’s private part and handed over to the Police in the area for interrogation over the dastardly act.

The suspect was later transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command, where operatives further interrogated him over the act.

The motive behind his action was still a surprise to the residents, who heard what happened and wondered how a young man will do such to the woman, who has health issue and far older than him.

The suspect was said to have admitted to have done so and claimed it was with the consent of the woman because she did not resist before he was caught by the neighbours.

The neighbours were also angry because they felt that he took advantage of the condition of the victim to rape and abuse her.

After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for having unlawful carnal knowledge with physically and mentally challenged woman, which is statutory rape.

When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Supol Bisi Ogunleye, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubeinje, ordered his remand in correctional centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s report.

The Court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP while the matter was adjourned till 15th February, 2022, for report of the DPP to be ready, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
