Masika Kalysha is speaking out against the backlash after she appeared online with HoodTrophy Bino.
Bino is just weeks out from his very public split with Chrisean Rock, so seeing him cozying up with Masika instantly set off alarms across social media.
Masika’s estranged husband, Jamar Champ, also passed away only a month prior, leading many to accuse her of moving on too fast or using grief for attention.
During a recent Instagram Live, Masika and HoodTrophy Bino shot down claims that their relationship was orchestrated for publicity.
In another livestream shared by viewers, Masika addressed the backlash, visibly exhausted. She explained that although Jamar’s death devastated her, the two had been separated for years. She insisted that grief and romance do not cancel each other out and that mourning someone you once loved can coexist with building something new.
She also pushed back at people who dismissed her emotional posts about Jamar’s funeral, saying she cried then and still cries now, regardless of what outsiders think.
Masika also found herself dealing with commentary from her ex, Rayface, as well. She then posted a cutting message of her own. She hinted at the responsibilities she had shouldered during her marriage and expressed anger at anyone who suggested she had acted out of opportunism.
