4 Popular Actors Who Left Their Day One Women After Fame Hit

Hollywood success changes a lot. Money changes things. Fame definitely changes things. And sometimes, the woman who held you down before the spotlight does not make it into the next chapter.

Media Take Out is looking back at four extremely successful Black actors who, according to public timelines and their own words, moved on from their day one relationships after their careers reached another level.

Let’s get into it.

Number 4. Tracy Morgan

Before the fame, before the mansions, before the comeback story, Tracy Morgan was married to his high school sweetheart, Sabina Morgan. The two were together for years and had three sons while Tracy was still grinding as a comedian.

But after Tracy’s career took off with Saturday Night Live and later 30 Rock, the marriage did not survive the lifestyle shift. Tracy and Sabina divorced in 2009 after more than 20 years together.

Tracy later admitted that fame, money, and his behavior played a role in the breakup. He has since said he regrets how things went down.

Trivet now dates much younger women, typically in their 20s and 30s. His newest girlfriend is a Latina IG model.

Number 3. Will Smith

Before Jada, there was Sheree Zampino.

Will Smith married Sheree in 1992, right as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was taking off. She was there during the early fame years, when Will was transitioning from rapper to actor.

But as Will’s career exploded into blockbuster territory, the marriage cracked. The two divorced in 1995, just three years after tying the knot.

Will later admitted that he was immature, overly focused on success, and not ready to balance marriage with fame. Sheree went on to co parent peacefully, but she was very much the original Mrs. Smith.

Number 2. Steve Harvey

Steve Harvey’s relationship history is complicated, but one thing is clear. His first wife, Marcia Harvey, was there before the suits, the talk shows, and the billionaire energy.

Steve and Marcia were married in the late 80s and had three children together while Steve was still chasing comedy gigs and sleeping in his car.

Once Steve finally broke through, the marriage fell apart. The divorce was messy, public, and painful. Marcia has since spoken openly about feeling abandoned after supporting Steve through his struggle years.

Steve later remarried twice, with his current marriage to Marjorie Harvey becoming part of his brand. Marjorie, who is glamorous, now lives the “soft life” that his first wife can only dream of.

Number 1. Kevin Hart

Kevin Hart takes the top spot.

Before the movies, before the stadium tours, and before the Netflix checks, Kevin was married to Torrei Hart. She was with him when he was broke, struggling, and being told no by Hollywood.

As Kevin’s career skyrocketed, the marriage fell apart. Kevin later admitted to cheating and making poor choices once fame entered the picture. The two divorced in 2011.

Torrei has been vocal about feeling replaced once Kevin made it big, and fans still debate her role in his success to this day.

Kevin later married another woman, his current wife Eniko – who now lives the soft life – enjoying the millions that Kevin brings in every year.

So What’s the Lesson

Fame amplifies everything. Egos. Temptation. Distance. And not every relationship survives the transition from struggle love to success life.

Whether these men handled it right or wrong is up for debate. But one thing is undeniable.

The women who were there before the lights do not always get to enjoy the glow after.
