Megan Thee Stallion scored a legal victory in Florida after a federal jury reportedly found blogger Milagro Gramz liable for defamation.

The nine-person jury delivered its decision Monday, ruling in favor of the Houston star, whose legal team argued that Gramz spread damaging and fabricated allegations, including the claim that Megan was a paid surrogate acting on behalf of rapper Tory Lanez.

The panel initially awarded $75,000 in damages, though a federal judge later adjusted the total to $59,000 after determining the blogger should be treated as a member of the media. Gramz could also be responsible for covering the artist’s legal costs.

In an interview with Gramz following the verdict, she claimed she was not found liable for defamation because she is a member of the media.

Leaving the courthouse, Megan told reporters she was simply happy with the outcome.

Gramz’s attorney, Nathacha Bien Aime, criticized the verdict in a statement, saying it threatens the ability of independent creators to discuss public figures openly. She argued the ruling could discourage people from engaging in online dialogue out of fear of legal consequences and emphasized the importance of defining the line between defamation and opinion.

The rapper filed the suit in October 2024, accusing Gramz of launching a pattern of harmful commentary and false claims connected to the shooting incident involving Lanez, who was convicted in that case.
