Misa Hilton’s attorney spoke to The Breakfast Club about the shocking $5 million lawsuit his celebrity client filed against her former best friend, Mary J. Blige.
“They weren’t just friends, they were like family, even closer than blood in many ways,” her lawyer told The Breakfast Club.
“Misa tried everything she could to settle this behind the scenes. She wanted to fix things with Mary directly — but Mary and her team completely cut her off.”
The lawsuit has shocked fans and Misa’s team says she’s still confused by MJ’s behavior and heartbroken over being ignored after decades of loyalty and love.
“It’s like having a sister your whole life, and one day she just stops talking to you, and you don’t even know why,” her attorney continued.
In the lawsuit, Misa accuses the star of sabotaging her business relationship with rapper Vado.
According to court documents and comments from Hylton’s attorney, Nicholas Ramcharitar, the drama began after Vado signed a management deal with Hylton’s agency, M.I.S.A. Management, in July 2023. Just a few months later, he also signed a record deal with the Grammy Award-winning artist’s label Beautiful Life Productions.
The lawsuit claims that the star intentionally cut Misa out of communications, removed her from business emails, and even pressured Vado to fire her and instead work with Mary J’s head of security, who Misa refers to in the suit as the singer’s “boyfriend.”
Misa also claims that Mary shelved Vado’s completed album until he cut business ties with her.
Mary J. Blige has not publicly responded to the allegations.
