OnePlus confirmed more details regarding its upcoming flagship. As a reminder, this phone will become official on October 31, in China. OnePlus confirmed various details thus far, but the company just added some more info.
More OnePlus 13 details have just been shared by the company
The OnePlus 13 will feature an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, as expected. It’s now official. OnePlus says that this fingerprint scanner will bring a 35% improvement in unlock speed, and 33% improvement in unlock stability.
The company also said that sweat, grease, and stains won’t prevent the fingerprint scanner to properly reading your finger. That can be an issue with optical fingerprint scanners, as they need to take a picture of your fingerprint.
On top of that, the company confirmed that the device will be both IP68 and IP69 certified. The IP69 certification may be unique to China, we’ll find out once the phone launches globally. This launch event is for China only.

The phone will have an IP69 rating and come with ‘Rain Touch 2.0’
The IP69 rating is the highest level of (IP) protection against solids and liquids. It’s a step above the IP68 rating that we usually see on smartphones. The IP69 rating basically means that the device can operate in harsh environments and be exposed to water, dust, and debris.
The phone’s display will also support ‘glove touch’ and ‘Rain Touch 2.0’ features. In other words, you’ll be able to wear gloves while using the phone, and Rain Touch 2.0 will help with text input when the screen is wet.
That display will also support HDR10+ content, Dolby Vision, and offer a 120Hz refresh rate, the usual. This comes following the confirmation that a 6,000mAh battery will be included, along with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
