The monthly subscription packages of DStv and GOtv have again been increased by MultiChoice one year after the last increment, a notice to customers on Monday revealed.
This new price adjustment, according to the company, will take effect from Saturday, March 1, 2025, and it was triggered by “prevalent economic factors.”
In the message, the pay TV provider said it never wanted to take this step, but to continue to offer its “valued partners” high quality content and unparalleled service across Nigeria, the hike was inevitable as its operational costs were getting higher.
In the statement signed by its chief executive, Mr John Ugbe, MultiChoice said from this weekend, Premium subscribers on DStv will have to pay N44, 500 per month, while Compact Plus subscribers will pay N30,000 to watch the channels in the bouquet, with Compact bouquet subscribers to pay N19,000.
Further, the Confam package now costs N11,000, the Yanga bouquet is now N6,000, and the Padi subscription is now N4,400.
As for GOtv users, the Supa Plus package now goes for N16,800, the Supa bouqet is N11,400, the Max subscription is N8,500, the Joli package is now N5,800, the Jinja subscription is N3,900, and the Smallie monthly fee is N1,900.
“Please be informed of the price adjustment to our DStv and GOtv subscription packages effective March 1, 2025.
“Due to prevalent economic factors leading to increased operational costs, we have unavoidably had to adjust the prices of our DStv and GOtv subscription packages. We understand the impact this change may have on our valued partners, and we have only taken this step after careful consideration and in-depth analysis.
“It has always been our mission to offer the best entertainment to our esteemed customers and we are committed to continue delivering high quality content and unparalleled service to our viewers across Nigeria. So, from Saturday, March 1, 2025, the price adjustment will take effect.
“We thank you for your continued partnership and support and reassure you of our unwavering commitment to deliver the best viewing experience in Nigeria,” the statement read.
