Nollywood actor and comedian Ayodeji Richard Makun, professionally known as AY Comedian, has cried out over the lack of support from his colleagues.
A few days ago, Ayo Makun released his highly anticipated film, The Waiter, on the big screen. The film stars Regina Daniels, Seyi Okanlawon, Toke Makinwa, Ayo Makun and the like.
Following the reception and the loss of income from the film, the father of two took to the micro-blogging X app to lament the lack of support from his fellow men.
Makun lamented how men only support entities who have breasts and bottoms, despite the other gender working hard to stay relevant and uphold their responsibilities.
He bragged about being the only man left in filmmaking who has not given up and vows to continue pushing his movie personally.
“One day man go tell man “wetin man do man”. We work so hard to stay relevant and take care of our responsibilities. Must we have breast and yansh to have the support of our fellow men?
I am still the only man left in the business of filmmaking who is yet to give it all up. THE WAITER is a beautiful movie. I will continue to PERSONALLY push it with my full chest in cinemas nationwide. I am too legit to quit.”
Kemi Filani recalls that Ayo Makun confirmed the end of his almost 20-year relationship with Mabel Makun.
The famous stand-up comedian expressed regrets for losing his home and admitted doing things that were not good during the marriage.
He, however, warned against projecting the wrong narrative about him and his family, which he found injurious to his teenage daughter.
