Veteran Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has revealed that his eldest son, Nino, has no interest in following in his footsteps in the music industry.
Despite Nino being a talented saxophonist, his father shared that the young boy aspires to become a medical doctor.
2baba disclosed this while bringing Nino on stage at an event in Abuja celebrating his 25 years in the music industry.
“Making some noise for my son Nino, mehn,” he told the crowd as he introduced his son on stage.
“He said he doesn’t want to be a singer. He wants to be a doctor,” he added, prompting cheers from attendees.
Nino Idibia was born on January 15, 2006, to 2Baba and his former partner Sumbo Adeoye.
Meanwhile, 2Baba and Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru have welcomed their first child together, a baby boy.
Speculation over the birth intensified early Friday after Osawaru was reportedly seen at a hospital, fuelling rumours that she had gone into labour.
Hours later, the lawmaker ended the speculation with a short announcement on her official Facebook page, confirming that the couple had been “blessed with a baby boy.”
Naijaonpoint reports that her post instantly triggered a flood of congratulatory messages from fans, supporters and well-wishers.
The baby’s arrival adds a new chapter to the couple’s widely followed relationship.
2Baba and Osawaru formalised their union earlier in the year after the singer’s separation from Annie Idibia in January.
Their relationship quickly gained public attention, from the Valentine’s Eve proposal to family visits and traditional rites that took place in the months that followed.
In July, the couple held a private traditional wedding in Abuja, attended only by close family members.
The ceremony, though low-key, set the stage for their new life together and has continued to attract public interest.
