In the wake of Dabota Lawson and Diiadem’s clash, Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has spoken on the pressure to belong in the Lagos big girls club.
In a social media post, she shared her thoughts, saying she has never been interested in identifying herself with the big girl lifestyle. She noted how many are living on aesthetics, and the moment you go close to them, you pity them.
Nkechi said she is American broke, and as long as she can afford three square meals and flight tickets, she is good to go. She added that the pressure to belong isn’t for someone like her who enjoys her privacy and space.

Me I be Yankee broke girl. I no kuku identify with anything big girl, make I sha dey see food chop and ticket money to fly round the world. Who get pass me no concern me.
The pressure to belong to the so-called Lagos big girls can never be forgotten, someone like me that likes my space. But when matter of 100m to 200m sup we go chest am without flinching. Cos we no dey post lifestyle dem go call us broke”.
A few days ago, NBS addressed trolls who are fond of shaming women for being unmarried and childless. She made them know that some people are fighting battles behind the scenes, admonished them to take it easy on women and prayed for long life for everyone.
Nkechi lashed out at women who leave their husbands to end up as side chicks to married men. Sending thunder to them, she affirmed her loyalty to dating younger boys, while admonishing the public to leave her to her choice.
NBS, as she is fondly called while weighing in on Uche Ogbodo’s marital crisis, said one should never think marrying a man they’re clearly feeding will last. According to her, such a marriage wouldn’t end well, no matter how they tried to cover it up.
Her statement didn’t sit well with many who single shamed her.
Clapping back at them, she said she would rather be single than be broke, miserable and settle for less. The movie star noted that she is crying in first class to a destination her haters can only dream of and revealed that their favourite stars are in her DM.
Two years ago, Nkechi, revealed that she was bettering herself. She stated that who she was becoming is much more important than who she had been, and added that she is in her peaceful bubble 24/7, and all she does is get up, do her, get her money, and mind her business.
The light-skinned actress, in a social media post, broke down in tears on social media over a lady’s ploys to tarnish her brand. Nkechi noted that she is human and blood runs through her veins. She stated that she doesn’t have any means of livelihood and wasn’t the type to sleep with men to earn a living.
