The Nigeria Air Force has commenced the airlifting of election materials for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to Benin, the Edo State capital.
This was made known in a statement by the Deputy Director Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, Kabiru Ali on Wednesday.
Ali stated that this initiative is a component of a larger strategy aimed at guaranteeing the prompt and secure transportation of critical materials essential for the effective administration of the elections.
He said, “The airlift operation demonstrates the collaboration between NAF and INEC, aimed at facilitating logistics and ensuring a peaceful election process in Edo State.”
In a recent meeting with the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s dedication to facilitating the rapid transportation of electoral materials through airlift services.
