NASD, FrieslandCampina Raise Unlisted Security Index by 0.14%

The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange further rose by 0.14 per cent on Monday, November 3 due to the improvement in the prices of the duo of NASD Plc and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc.

NASD Plc added N4.43 to close at N48.80 per unit versus the previous day’s N44.37 per unit, and FrieslandCampina expanded by 49 Kobo to finish at N56.59 per share compared with last Friday’s closing price of N56.10 per share.

The gains posted by the two securities increased the market capitalisation of the bourse yesterday by N3.12 billion to N2.172 trillion from the N2.169 trillion reported in the preceding session, and the BASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) went up by 5.22 points to 3,630.67 points from 3,625.45 points.

Meanwhile, the volume of securities traded at the opening session of the week rose by 959.8 per cent to 215,660 units from the previous 20,350 units, the value of transactions decreased by 97.9 per cent to N16.9 million from N551,769.60, and the number of deals soared by 57.1 per cent to 11 deals from seven deals.

At the close of business, Infrastructure Credit Guarantee Company (InfraCredit) Plc, despite the exit by the United Kingdom’s MOBILIST, was the most traded stock by value on a year-to-date basis with 5.8 billion units valued at N16.4 billion, followed by Okitipupa Plc with 170.3 million units transacted for N8.0 billion, and Air Liquide Plc with 507.4 million units worth N4.2 billion.

InfraCredit Plc was also the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with 5.8 billion units worth N16.4 billion, trailed by Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc with 1.2 billion units worth N419.7 million, and Impresit Bakolori Plc with 536.9 million units traded for N524.8 million.
