NASD OTC Exchange Closes Flat at Midweek Session

The key performance indicators of the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange remained unchanged on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, with the market capitalization intact at N1.891 trillion and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) flat at 3,338.32 points.

Business Post reports that the bourse was without a single price gainer and loser, as the share prices of all the companies on the platform remained unchanged.

However, the activity chart witnessed changes, according to data obtained by this newspaper.

The volume of securities transacted by investors slumped for the third straight day by 88.5 per cent to 65,936 units from the 571,155 units transacted in the previous trading day.

In the same vein, the value of transactions fell by 97.4 per cent to N228,962 from N8.6 million, and the number of deals depreciated by 56 per cent to 11 deals from the 25 deals recorded on Tuesday.

When the market closed at midweek, Impresit Bakolori Plc remained the most active stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with 533.9 million units worth N520.9 million, followed by Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc with 69.7 million units worth N23.6 million, and Afriland Properties Plc with 17.2 million units sold for N352.4 million.

Similarly, Impresit Bakolori Plc was the most active stock by value on a year-to-date basis with a turnover of 533.9 million units worth N520.9 million, trailed by FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc with the sale of 9.6 million units valued at N378.0 million, and Afriland Properties Plc with 17.2 million units sold for N352.4 million
