The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange recorded a 0.57 per cent depreciation on Thursday, October 2 after there price losers overpowered the single price gainer posted at the close of business.
The price of Mixta Real Estate Plc was up by 61 Kobo during the trading session to settle at N6.68 per share compared with the previous trading day’s N6.07 per share.
However, Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc declined yesterday by N3.00 to close at N31.05 per unit versus Tuesday’s closing price of N34.05 per unit, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc plunged by N1.45 to N56.42 per share from N57.87 per share, and First Trust Mortgage Bank Plc dropped 2 Kobo to trade at 58 Kobo per unit, in contrast to the 60 Kobo per unit it was traded on Tuesday because the market was closed on Wednesday for Independence Day anniversary.
At the close of trades, the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) was down by 19.44 points to 3,450.00 points from 3,469.94 points and the market capitalisation declined by N11.93 billion to N2.064 trillion from N2.076 trillion .
Yesterday, the volume of securities traded rose by 944.6 per cent to 3.8 million units from the previous 360,476 units, and the number of deals increased by 64.3 per cent to 23 deals from 14 deals, while the value of securities decreased by 80.9 per cent to N9.5 million from N49.8 million.
The most traded stock by value on a year-to-date basis was Okitipupa Plc with 160.2 million units worth N6.2 billion, trailed by Air Liquide Plc with 507.3 million units traded for N4.2 billion, and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc with 45.2 million units valued at N2.0 billion.
The most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis was Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc with 1.2 billion units sold for N418.6 million, followed by Impresit Bakolori Plc with 536.9 million units worth N524.8 million, and Air Liquide Plc with 507.3 million units transacted for N4.2 billion.
