The Senate on Thursday passed a vote of confidence in the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio.

The confidence vote is coming amid disturbing events triggered by the March 6 suspension of the senator representing Kogi Central district, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

It was a sobre moment at the day’s plenary session as the upper legislative body reflected on the chain of unpalatable events trailing the six months suspension slammed on Senator Natasha.
