When the Commandant was first contacted she denied the video because the victims nickname is NDA but further investigation revealed that this happened sometime before the end of the last term.”

According to Commodore Suleiman Dahun, the Nigerian Navy Director of Information, the video was given to the school’s management by a parent who could not identify when the incident occurred or who was involved.

According to Dahun, a preliminary investigation indicated that “the incident occurred two sessions ago,” and that it was addressed administratively.

“For the avoidance of doubt, additional investigation into the incident is ongoing,” he stated, adding that the Nigerian Navy was conscious of the need to maintain discipline in its institutions without resorting to unconventional methods.

“I can’t begin to imagine the pain the family is going through knowing the kind of agony their child passed through

This is so sad and traumatizing for not only his family but the world at large.
This barbaric act is still being practiced in most schools amongst student and they keep getting a away with it but not this time.

I have been so devastated and all that could come to my mind while watching this video is what if it’s my child !!
The perpetrators of this wicked act might go free if there’s no strong evidence to prove their guilt and later cause more havoc, but with a collective effort we must all make sure justice is served for Sylvester
A boarding school should always have CCTV in most areas to monitor the kids. The school needs to render a reasonable explanation and make sure the culprits are brought to justice.”
