The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has filed a formal petition to the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Inspector-General of Police, urging that veteran Fuji musician King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, be investigated and prosecuted over an incident involving a ValueJet aircraft.

According to reports, on Tuesday, KWAM 1 allegedly attempted to block the plane from taxiing after he was removed from the flight for reportedly carrying a flask of alcohol.

The act has been widely condemned as a violation of standard operational procedures and a show of disregard for aviation safety protocols.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the NCAA called on the Attorney-General and the IGP to “launch a thorough investigation into the incident.”

They further urged the authorities to initiate “appropriate prosecution in accordance with the provisions of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations 2023 supra and all other applicable laws.”

Meanwhile, the Director General of Civil Aviation, Capt. Chris Najomo, has advised the Airline Operators of Nigeria to place K1 De Ultimate on a No-Fly List pending the conclusion of all investigations.
