Solomon is being grilled by investigators probing the audacious assault on one of the most secured assets of Nigeria’s Armed Forces.
The last has not been heard concerning the arrest of Torsabo Solomon, an officer of the Nigerian Air Force.
Recall that the officer was arrested over his alleged links with the bandits that attacked the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA).
However, DailyPost reported on Tuesday that his arrest is now causing serious tension within the military.
The report further stated that Solomon is being grilled by investigators probing the audacious assault on one of the most secured assets of Nigeria’s Armed Forces.
It is believed other military collaborators played a part in the security breach Defence Chief, Leo Irabor, called an embarrassment.
The personnel, a member of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), is currently attached to the Air Force Comprehensive School in Yola.
A NAF INTREP (Intelligence Report) indicated he was arrested Monday morning in the Adamawa capital.
Solomon was initially flown to the Army Training Regiment (ATR) in Kaduna. It is unclear if the suspect is still there or moved to another location.
On Tuesday, an impeccable source told DAILY POST that the NAF BSG Commander in Yola has been removed.
After news of Solomon’s arrest, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) ordered the Base Support Group chief to vacate his seat and report to Abuja.
“I can confirm to you that media reports of the development cost the BSG his seat. He has been posted to Abuja.
“The DHQ is angry that a secret movement was exposed. The INTREP and photos were released by a soldier.
“He is an intelligence officer; I do not think his intention was to leak. The person(s) he sent the information to was probably careless”, the source added.
In a statement Monday night, NDA spokesman, Bashir Jajira said Solomon was not flown to the Academy as believed in some quarters.
Jajira clarified that the NDA is “a Military Training Institution and not an Investigative Security Agency”.
He advised the public to ignore inaccurate misinformation and “refer to relevant Investigative Security Agencies for clarification”.
The NDA assured that all the perpetrators of the security breach in its Afaka campus on August 24 will be apprehended.
The bandits killed Lt Commander Wulah and Flight Lt CM Okoronkwo; Second Lieutenant Onah was wounded. Major Christopher Datong was kidnapped and later released.

Nigerian Businessman Sentenced To Life Imprisonment For Defiling And Impregnating His In-Law
Ofure Siakpere, a 38-year-old businessman, was on Wednesday sentenced to life imprisonment by an Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court for defiling and impregnating his 14-year-old in-law (name withheld).
The NaijaOnPoint Agency of Nigeria reports that Justice Abiola Soladoye sentenced Siakpere after finding him guilty of a charge of defilement contrary to Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
Delivering judgment, Soladoye said that the prosecution had proved every ingredient for the offence of defilement. She described the prosecution witnesses as “compelling and convincing”.
She said, “This is contrary to that of the defence which was rather shallow and full of fallacy. The evidence of the defence witnesses were merely self-serving.”
The judge admonished parents to stop sending their children to stay with relatives and advised that they should plan their families by giving birth to the number of children they can afford.
“The defendant maltreated the victim (his wife’s niece) by defiling her. The conduct of this so-called in-law is hurtful and demeaning. Where is the defendant’s humanity and moral compass?
“This case is a reflection of sexual lawlessness that occurs within the family circle.
“The defendant must be duly sanctioned in the hope that this will serve as a deterrent to others to not toe the line of sexual misconduct.
“The defendant Ofure Siakpere, is hereby sentenced to life imprisonment with no option of fine.
“His name shall also be registered in the Sex Offenders Register as maintained by the Lagos State Government,” she said.
According to the Lead State Prosecutor, Funke Adegoke, Siakpere committed the offence on or about March 2018 at his residence located at No. 10, Salaudeen Imam Street, Lagos.
The convict was 35 years old when the offence was committed.
During the trial, two witnesses; the survivor and a medical doctor, Dr Aniekan Makanjuola, from Women at Risk International Foundation testified on behalf of the prosecution.
The survivor in her evidence said that she was overpowered and defiled on at least 15 occasions by the convict while living with him and his wife who was her aunt.
She said that anytime she resisted his advances, he beats her up.
The survivor said that she became pregnant as a result of the abuse.
At the time of her testimony in court, she had been delivered of a baby.
The convict and his wife, Adebimpe Siakpere testified for the defence.
Siakpere in his testimony, denied the allegation, describing it as false.
