In a statement released on Sunday, Nwoko said Regina’s alleged battle with substance abuse had deeply affected their marriage, adding that her recent behaviour had become violent.

According to him, the actress allegedly assaulted three of his staff members and destroyed properties, including vehicles and windows, within a span of two days.

He explained that he had advised her to continue her rehabilitation either in Asokoro or abroad, where her access to drugs would be limited, expressing concern for her health and safety.

Nwoko further alleged that Regina once refused to take their son, Moon, to the hospital during a medical emergency and instead turned on a resident nurse who reportedly revealed details about her alleged drug use.

He also accused two individuals, identified as Sammy and Ann, of supplying drugs to the actress and of fuelling chaos in his home during his absence.

“Regina was not always like this. Her current struggle with drugs and alcohol is the root of our problem.

“She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety. I have other wives, and none has ever accused me of violence.

“Regina is the violent one here, slapping and hitting three staff members in the past 48 hours and damaging property, including cars and windows,” Nwoko stated.

He added that he had set a clear condition for her to accept rehabilitation either in Asokoro or abroad, preferably in Jordan, where she would have no access to drugs.

The statement followed a viral video of Regina Daniels, posted online on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in which she appeared in tears, claiming she could no longer endure violence in her marriage.

In the video, she was heard saying, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence; it’s too much.”

The footage, which showed people trying to calm her down, has since stirred widespread speculation and public debate about the state of her marriage to the 63-year-old senator, a union that has long drawn attention due to their 40-year age difference.
