For those who may not be aware, the situation escalated when Nedu invited Big Brother Naija star Deeone to the show.
As expected, internet users began speculating about the women linked to Nedu. One of these women, who has been mentioned in connection with him due to her appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast, has now decided to speak out.
I want to make it clear that I appreciate being left out of this entire situation, as I have long moved on from my past unpleasant experience with The Honest Bunch podcast.
The clips taken from my episode on that show for promotional purposes were designed to attract trolls, leading to my brand facing intense scrutiny. Meanwhile, Nedu, who was messaging me on WhatsApp and asking me out, was simultaneously posting materials that fueled negative attacks against me. This even led to people flooding my son’s social media page with curses and insults, forcing me to take his page down.
The worst part was that people claimed, based on a press release from The Honest Bunch, that I must have paid for my interview feature. This is completely untrue. I could never pay to appear on a show for a movie I neither produced nor owned. The distortion of the narrative further fueled my dislike for dishonest individuals who try to misrepresent the truth.
At the time, I was livid, angry, and bitter. However, with time and the support of quality individuals around me, I chose to let go and genuinely forgave both Nedu and the show.
I have received calls asking me to speak out or criticize him now that he is supposedly down. My response remains the same: I will not. The best time to kick someone is certainly not when they are down. I have forgiven him and wish him nothing but the best. More importantly, I hope he learns from this experience and understands that we gain nothing, not even YouTube views, by bringing others down.
Please, I kindly request that my name not be dragged into this drama. I have learned valuable lessons from my experience, especially about dealing with people, and that is the essence of my message.”
