Battlefield 6 matches can be dominated by a great tank commander or helicopter pilot, and now it’s time for the rise of ace golf cart drivers. November 18’s BF6 update, version 1.1.2.0, brings a new map called Eastwood (among other additions), which is set in Southern California for Season 1’s California Resistance theme, and is already being celebrated as a major step up over the previous new map, which was maligned as the worst map in Battlefield history.
Officially confirmed by EA’s BF6 patch notes, Eastwood’s country club setting introduces the Golf Cart as a new vehicle. “Conquest mode on [Eastwood] will include tanks, helicopters, and the Golf Cart,” reads the patch notes. Give Battlefield players any sort of vehicle, and they’ll find ways to kill others with it. It won’t be long before we see clips of Golf Cart multi-kills as a whole squad is run over, or C4 is strapped to the front of one before it’s rammed into the side of a tank.
New Map, Weapons, Game Mode, & More Come To BF6 In Update 1.1.2.0
Jihad Cart Inbound
The so-called “Jihad Jeep” has been a Battlefield staple for years, and is arguably the best use of light vehicles in BF6. You put C4 on the front of a jeep, drive straight at an enemy tank, bail out, and detonate the C4. The same concept is bound to be used with Battlefield 6‘s new golf cart, and will give some practicality to a vehicle that’s more or less a joke addition to the game. Eastwood is the most transformative addition to Battlefield 6, but the November 18 update has brought a variety of other new content as well.
The DB-12 shotgun and M357 Trait revolver sidearm join BF6‘s weapons lineup, while the Slim Handstop underbarrel attachment will provide new configurations for existing guns. Update 1.1.2.0 brings a limited-time game mode called Sabotage, where teams attempt to blow up or defend objectives. Battlefield RedSec‘s Gauntlet mode has also received some attention, with a new mission called Rodeo, in which squads vie for control of vehicles.
Later in BF6‘s California Resistance chapter, Battle Pickups will become available. These were a Battlefield 1 invention, and are powerful, limited-ammo weapons that can be found on the map. The trailer above shows a minigun being looted from a new feature called a Prepper Stash and subsequently unloaded on enemies.

The full list of changes in the Battlefield 6 1.1.2.0 patch notes is extensive, but the most important is arguably “Weapon accuracy and dispersion tuning: fixed unintended weapon dispersion increase rates and improved non-Recon sniper rifle accuracy while globally reducing dispersion across all weapon types.” Since launch, BF6 has had very noticeable issues with weapon accuracy, with clearly over-tuned bloom – the spread of bullets within your crosshairs as you continuously fire.
Certain attachments seemed to make the issue even worse, but the developers are clearly working on it. This is effectively a buff to every single weapon in the game, making sure they don’t become needlessly inaccurate when fired for extended periods. With early impressions of Eastwood being positive, and a number of other interesting additions to the game, including a golf cart, this bloom adjustment is the cherry on top for Battlefield 6‘s latest update.
