NHEA 2025 announces nominees for PharmAccess SafeCare award categories

The Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award (NHEA) has unveiled the nominees for the PharmAccess Foundation SafeCare Award categories, marking a decade of strategic collaboration between the two organizations.

The nominees were selected based on their exceptional commitment to quality improvement and performance on the internationally recognized SafeCare Quality Platform.

Two categories will be celebrated at the NHEA 2025 Awards: the PharmAccess Most Active Public Facility on the SafeCare Quality Platform and the PharmAccess Most Active Private Facility on the SafeCare Quality Platform.

The nominees are:

Public Facilities:

Orile Agege General Hospital
Ikorodu General Hospital
Ibeju-Lekki General Hospital
Lagos Island Maternity Hospital

Private Facilities:

South Shore Women’s and Children’s Hospital
R-Jolad Hospital
Lifeline Children Hospital
Lakeshore Cancer Centre

The nominees were selected through a rigorous data-driven evaluation process that considered performance metrics, quality improvement practices, and consistency in engagement with the SafeCare digital platform.

Njide Ndili, Country Director of PharmAccess Foundation Nigeria, said, “The SafeCare methodology promotes structured quality improvement. These nominees have demonstrated a clear commitment to enhancing patient safety and clinical excellence.”

Public voting is now open and can be done on the official NHEA voting portal until June 15, 2025. The winners will be announced at the NHEA 2025 Awards Ceremony on June 27, 2025, at the Convention Centre, Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
