Nigerian Singer Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia Spotted In Viral Clip Escorted By UK Police In Cuffs Despite Initial Denial
Details surrounding the incident remain unclear, and UK authorities have not issued a statement confirming the arrest.
A video circulating online shows Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face (2Baba), being arrested by police in London, United Kingdom.
The footage, shared by blogger Tosin Silverdam on TikTok, shows officers speaking with the singer outside what appears to be a retail store before escorting him away with his hands cuffed behind his back.
The viral clip comes hours after another video surfaced showing a woman, believed to be 2Baba’s wife, Osawaru Natasha, raising her voice at him inside a London shop, accusing him of repeatedly shouting at her.
Details surrounding the incident remain unclear, and UK authorities have not issued a statement confirming the arrest.
In October, reports emerged claiming that 2Baba had been arrested in London following an alleged altercation with Natasha. The singer denied the claims, explaining that his absence from a scheduled UK tour stop on October 2, 2025, was due to a sudden health issue rather than a domestic dispute.
In an Instagram post, 2Baba thanked fans who attended the show despite his absence and assured them of upcoming performances.
“First of all, I want to say to everyone that came out, I appreciate you. We had a medical emergency, it was tough. To the organisers and everyone that came out, we go regroup and make something beautiful happen,” 2Baba said.
He reportedly criticised those spreading unverified claims, stressing the importance of fact-checking before sharing information.
“If una no sabi something, make una no talk abeg. This ‘allegedly’, I don tire,” 2Baba reportedly said.
