Nigerian soldiers released by Burkina Faso have arrived at an Air Force base in Accra, Ghana.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, announced the soldiers’ arrival in Accra in a post on his 𝕏 handle.
He wrote, “I can confirm that the pilots and crew of NAF C-130 (913) have safely arrived at the Air Force Base in Accra. The successful outcome reflects Nigeria’s commitment to diplomacy, regional cooperation, and the leadership of @NGRPresident Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR @officialABAT , in resolving sensitive matters through dialogue.”
Meanwhile, the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government confirmed that Burkina Faso authorities have released 11 Nigerian soldiers and a Nigerian Air Force aircraft.
They were released after 10 days of detention in the West African country following an emergency landing.
Their released was confirmed to The PUNCH on Wednesday night by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa.
He said: “They have been released. I just confirmed with our Head of Mission in Burkina Faso.”
