A new report from Google Search Trends has showed that the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) by students was increasing.
In the study made available to Business Post, it was revealed that the use of AI among students was more of studying rather than entertainment or others.
The application of the technology cut across a wide range of subjects, with searches combining AI with specific school subjects growing significantly.
A part of the report showed that searches involving AI + Chemistry grew by 50 per cent, AI + Maths increased by 30 per cent, AI + Languages soared by 30 per cent, and AI + Grammar surged by 20 per cent.
A part of the outcome of the analysis said the nature of these searches indicates that students are seeking practical help.
Top searched questions for mathematics include, “what is the best AI in the world for solving mathematical problems” and “how to use AI to solve math problems.”
Similarly, top searches for studying in general include queries for “AI tutor for students,” “free AI tools for studying,” and “useful AI prompts for studying,” showing a clear demand for accessible and specialized AI-powered educational tools.
It was observed that students also want to know how to use AI to solve problems, with the report noting that in the past 12 months, there have been about 80 per cent rises in questions like “how to use AI” and “what is the full meaning of AI.”
