Nigerians Have Lost Confidence In Tinubu’s Govt – Aregbesola Rallies ADC Members

Rauf Aregbesola

The National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, on Monday led a high-powered party delegation to Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency.

The former Osun State Governor charged members of the party to intensify mobilisation ahead of the 2026 and 2027 elections.

Aregbesola, who addressed party faithful at the Ijebu-Jesa Town Hall, said the massive turnout for the tour showed that “the people’s resolve to restore good governance remains unshaken.”

The former Minister of Interior declared that Nigerians have lost confidence in the ruling administration whose policies, he said, have “inflamed hunger, poverty and insecurity across the land.”

According to him, citizens must not allow frustration to turn into political apathy.

“While the people are unhappy with the situation, they must not be displeased into abandoning their civic rights. Join a political tendency that is visionary and committed to returning our country to good governance,” he said.

Aregbesola urged ADC members to ignore political detractors, describing them as “individuals rejected by the masses.”

He urged party loyalists to take mobilisation seriously, stressing that the ADC stands a strong chance in the coming polls.

Work tirelessly to install a government that will take care of the poor, pay attention to the elderly, liberate the downtrodden and banish hunger,” he said.

Osun ADC Chairman, Dr Charles Omidiji; Chairman of Omoluabi Progressives, Alhaji Azeez Adesiji; former Speaker of the State Assembly, Dr Najeem Salaam; and ex-SSG, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, all praised members for their resilience.

They described the ADC as “the party to beat,” saying Osun residents are ready to support the movement in the forthcoming elections.

Before the town hall meeting, the delegation paid homage to the Elegboro of Ijebu-Jesa, Oba Moses Oluwafemi Agunloye, who offered royal prayers for the party’s success.

The visit also featured the commissioning of the ADC party secretariat in Oriade Local Government, Ijebu-Jesa.
