This Grand Theatre features a world-class stage framed by the largest proscenium in India.
The Cultural Centre of Nita Ambani is all now set to open its doors. The art and culture enthusiasts will be showcasing their talent from Friday. The shows will showcase Indian music, theatre, fine arts, and crafts to domestic and international audiences.

The centre, which is housed within the Jio World Centre in Bandra-Kurla Complex, is Nita Ambani’s dream project with which she wants to preserve and promote Indian arts and boasts of world-class infrastructure. The cultural centre comprises a 2,000-seat Grand Theatre, a 4-storey Art House, Pavilion – a museum-like convertible area of 52,627 sq. ft for art shows and exhibitions, and a Studio Theatre.
To mark the opening of the grand NMACC, cultural programmes have been scheduled for the public.
The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation
This musical masterpiece by Feroz Abbas Khan, which traces India’s journey through exemplary Indian dance, drama, music, art and more, will be performed on April 3, 7.30 pm at the Grand Theatre and the ticket price is Rs 400.
Indian in Fashion
This one-of-a-kind fashion exhibition with iconic costumes from all over the world, and curated by Hamish Bowles, will be displayed from April 3 to June 4 and the ticket price for the exhibition is Rs 199.
Samagam/Confluence
An art exhibition celebrating the works of contemporary artists influenced by India will be held at NMACC from April 3 to June 4 add the ticket price to witness this exhibition is Rs 199.
Khusrau – Sufi Qawwali by Ustad Munawwar Masoom
The tickets price for this musical performance, scheduled to be hosted on April 5 at 8 pm, is Rs 500.

The launch of the Centre was marked through a specially curated program ‘Swadesh’ which will comprise of three shows The Great Indian Musical: Civilisation to Nation, the Fashion of India, and Sangam/Confluence.
The Great Indian Musical: Civilisation is a musical show featuring Sangam/Confluence with costume art exhibitions as well as visual art shows.
It is aimed to celebrate Indian art forms like amazing Banarasi weaving, Pathani style, and candles which have been made visually impaired.
Feroz Abbas has directed, The Great Indian Musical: Civilisation. This production will be featuring the music composer duo of Ajay-Atul, the choreographer will be Vaibhavi Merchant, and Mayuri Upadhya with more than 350 artists including a 55-piece live orchestra that will be coming from Budapest for showcasing India’s cultural journey.

It will contain over 1,100 costumes which are been designed by Manish Malhotra. Hamish has curated India in Fashion as he is an author and a costume expert. It is designed by exhibition designers Patrick Kinmonth and Rooshad Shroff. It will be showcasing more than 140 pieces and the key historic pieces which are dating back to the 18th century with costumes by the luxury brands such as Chanel and Dior.
Apart from all this, the Centre will be focusing on the community programs like school and college outreach and various competitions, awards for the Arts teachers, in-residency Guru-shishya programs, and art literacy programs for adults.
On the opening of this Centre, Nita Ambani commented, “We were keen to make a space for promoting and also for celebrating our artists and the cultural heritage in cinema and music, in literature and folklore, dance and drama, in science and spirituality, in arts and crafts.”
