Rapper NLE Choppa is facing fresh backlash after the mothers of his two children, Marissa Da’Nae and Mariah, accused him of neglect and poor treatment of their kids.
The situation began unfolding last month when Marissa, who shares a two-year-old son named ChoZen with the rapper, voiced her anger on social media. She claimed NLE Choppa has been an absent father and accused him of starting a custody battle despite his lack of involvement.
“I can’t believe this btch is taking me to court about a child he doesn’t even call lmao,” Marissa wrote. “B*tch can’t even tell a mf when’s the last time ChoZen been to the doctor.”
Her posts quickly spread across social media. Marissa later made more serious claims, alleging that Choppa imposed harmful restrictions on their child’s eating habits.
“A child he had fasting at 1 year old. Saying a child didn’t need to eat 3 times a day. Kids come home starving,” she said.
Mariah, who is the mother of Choppa’s daughter Clover, wrote on X, that he “Be starving Clover’s a*s as well [three loudly crying emojis].”
The rapper’s mother, Angela Potts, fired back at critics, posting videos of NLE Choppa caring for his kids. “But he don’t feed her? [check mark emoji]… All he does for his baby mamas and kids, and this the thanks he gets,” she wrote.
Choppa also responded on Instagram, sharing a clip of him styling his daughter’s hair. When asked who the best dad is, little Clover answered, “Bryson Potts” — his real name. “Looks like neglect to me [laughing emoji two hearts emoji]. PS: This toothbrush is ONLY for her hair,” he wrote.
