According to our reporter, Richard Benson, Lagos State Publicity Secretary of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), remains undeterred by the defection of their sole governor, Alhaji Abba Yusuf, to the ruling APC. Speaking to NAN, Benson confidently declared that NNPP will reclaim Kano State in the 2027 elections.
Reflecting on the 2023 elections, Benson reminded everyone how NNPP defied the odds and federal power to defeat APC. “Remember what happened in 2023. Despite all odds, all federal might and everything, we defeated APC,” he said.
He stressed that the party’s strength is its unity, not just one leader, and the resilience that led to past victories will drive future success.
