James Abiodun Faleke in House of Reps Chamber

A member of the House of Representatives, Hon James Faleke, has dismissed reports that the Presidency directed former Governor of Kogi  State, Yahaya Bello and incumbent Governor, Usman Ododo, to uphold an alleged one-term agreement in the state.

Naijaonpoint reports that Faleke made this known on Tuesday in reaction to reports regarding the purported agreement.

Faleke clarified that no discussion or agreement was ever held regarding a one-term deal in Kogi State or any related matter.

The senator stated that he has been receiving a series of phone calls over the reports alleging his involvement in the deal.

According to Faleke, the reports of the purported agreement are a fabrication and urged the public to disregard them.

He said, “For the avoidance of doubt, I state unequivocally that I never had any discussion, nor was I privy to any conversation, agreement, or arrangement regarding a one-term deal in Kogi State or any related matter.

“Following the publication of this report, I have been inundated with numerous calls and text messages seeking clarification.

“I therefore find it necessary to state clearly and firmly that the report is entirely false, misleading, and without any factual basis.

“The story is a fabrication and should be disregarded in its entirety.”
