Nollywood actress Anita Joseph remains focused following her divorce from her husband, MC Fish.

The movie star, in an Instagram post, while counting down to her birthday, said she is stepping into her birthday with no drama or distraction. According to her, she is just staying focused.

“This is how I’m stepping into my birthday on 4th Jan
No Drama@“
No distractions “
Just focused only

This is coming hours after her estranged husband broke his silence over their separation. In a series of Instagram posts, MC Fish recounted how he was wooed by the actress, which eventually led to marriage. He sought to correct what he described as misconceptions among fans, who believe he stayed in the marriage for personal gain. Instead, MC Fish implied that he had been a support system for Joseph in many ways.

He also took a swipe at online trolls who belittle his profession as a hypeman, warning them against undermining his contributions.

Responding to his posts, Joseph shared a message on her Instagram story, tagged “Memo to my ex,” urging MC Fish to stop dragging her into his battles.

Kemi Filani reported in November that filmmaker Stanley Ontop had alleged that Anita’s husband, MC Fish, had left Anita for another woman, and she threw his bags outside.

Insiders, while speaking to a famous blogger, alleged that the 5-year union had come to an end after facing significant personal and emotional challenges. It was revealed that the actress lost two babies while with him; she had suffered a stillbirth and a painful miscarriage. She had also endured domestic violence as MC Fish had allegedly exhibited temper issues, including physical abuse, and substance use.

In response to the news, Anita shared photos of herself, revealing that her scars serve as a shield.

In another post, while appreciating the public for their love, she promised to tell her story at her own time.

Keeping to her words, Anita confirmed that her marriage had ended, noting how life has a way of testing our strength in ways we never expect, especially in marriage. She revealed that she has been walking through a season of deep reflection, pain, and healing, and was choosing grace, growth, and faith.
